Introduction

Over the past couple of weeks, the group working at Down the Rabbit Hole have been sending out invitations both digital and epistolary to everyone they know even in passing announcing the grand opening of their cafe and host club. Details of the time and place are included, as is a note stating the theme of the event: Valentine's Day! There's also public notices posted around town for those who may not know any of them, inviting all looking for a good time and a chance to unwind. Not to mention, the chance for romance!

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a very "Wonderland" feeling - for those familiar with the book. Hearts of red and pink decorate the place, as does sprays of roses and checkerboard patterns. Fairy lights provide a romantic atmosphere when coupled with the sheer fabrics draped here and there. Seats are arranged for couples, although the option for larger groups is noted on the signboard out front. Everyone is meant to feel welcome here.

Along one wall is numerous valentine envelopes, and today's menu includes romance-theme pastries, treats, and drinks. Given the limited food supply here in Karteria, it's mostly humble desserts and snacks, but at least there's no questionable meat? Here is where folks can find peace and a reprieve from the chaos unfolding around them, if just for a brief time. Though any troublemakers might be met with their cute but dangerous bouncers in the form of Echo and Noé...

Desserts • Puffed Berry Hearts: Layers of crispy, flaky dough form a delicious heart that's filled with custard, whipped cream, and an assortment of berries. • Strawberry Heart Tarts: Delectable tarts filled with cream and strawberries, and topped with powdered sugar and a strawberry heart. • Pistachio Cheesecake Domes: Creamy pistachio cheesecake shaped into domes, filled with a sweet-tart raspberry center, and coated in a shiny green mirror glaze. • Valentine's Fondue: Dip a variety of fruits, sweets, and treats into molten chocolate with this party tray!

Drinks • Love in Glass: A non-alcoholic drink consisting of sparkling pink lemonade topped with raspberry sherbet, and raspberries served on cupid's arrow! • Love Potion #9: A delicious cocktail of pomegranate juice, strawberry vodka, and raspberry liqueur served with candied fruit. • Peanut Butter Cup Martini: Dessert in a glass! Whiskey, chocolate liqueur, and peanut butter combine into this delectable drink. • Kiss Me Quick: Vanilla cake vodka and raspberry sauce equate to a sweet yet tart blend in this delightful cocktail.

EVENTS

During the day, the cafe operates as you would expect: as a place where you can go to get tasty baked goods and beverages. Nothing strange there. But at night, from 10pm to 2am, the place transforms into a host club featuring the male staff! It functions much as any host club does, where honored guests can request a host of their choosing, based either on personality OR soul type!

During this period of celebration, each of the hosts is, well, hosting their own little gimmick:

❧ Gilbert - Heartthrob Threads: Enjoy crafting with Gil to create embroidered valentines!

❧ Noé - Cookie Cupid: Come decorate Valentine's-themed holiday cookies together with this heartthrob!

❧ Oz - Sugar & Spice: Patrons can request a sweet, blushy little rabbit, or a 'tsundere' brat that's still endearing!

❧ Vanitas - Dr. Vanyatas: Overdue for a checkup? Experiencing some heartache? Dr. Vanitas is on the clock!

❧ Vincent - Snip Snip: Offering romantic hair styling that can be decorated with flowers and other accessories!





In addition, there's party games for all:

❧ Conversation Starters: Everyone fills out a "get to know me" card, which is then uploaded to their Syntrofos and displayed for all to see, although perhaps the network is on the fritz again and posting things you DIDN'T want divulged. That dirty little secret you've been keeping to yourself for the last year? UH OH.

❧ Kissing Photo Booth: Available for either established couples or for guests to pose with the host of their choice! Become a VIP member and you might get to have two lovely lads of your choosing...!

❧ Valentines Envelope Wall: When guests enter, they'll be encouraged to reach into one of the envelopes on the wall! Inside, they'll find random notes dropped by other patrons, and perhaps, even a coupon to spend 15 minutes with a host of your choosing. (With purchase of food and drink to share, of course!)

Care to drop a note into the envelopes, yourself? Conveniently, there is a writing station which provides small paper hearts and writing utensils! Unfortunately, it is impossible to monitor what guests will be writing, so we can't guarantee that the notes you receive will be appropriate for all audiences.

As the evening draws to a close, guests will be encouraged to request their final orders, or take a sweet for the road. Anyone that holds out this long will be sent off with a goodie bag offering a few candies and a coupon for a future purchase, lasting through the end of the week.
