But he sips, licking at the puncture wounds after a moment, some blood still on his lips as he withdraws afterwards, getting some smeared on his nose when he wipes clumsily at his face with his hand.]

The nice thing is that they can allow him to feed more often from now on, a little here and there without draining him too much. If sharing this with Noé makes him happy, then he'll have one thing to thank Luna for, if nothing else. A small comfort, but one nonetheless.
