Vincent isn’t especially good at preparing food, not in the slightest - but from their selection of cafe goods, he figures that some sliced sandwich meats, roasted nuts, a couple of (unevenly sliced) veggies with some dressing, and a variety of cheeses will do just fine for the time being.
If Vanitas is patient, he will bring the heaping selection back to him. ]

He lathers up his hair and even his tail, ensuring that every inch of his is clean thoroughly so that all traces of dirt are gone by the time his lover returns.

Particularly over these past few months, during the process of his gradual death, most of his energy went toward the time they spent together.
