Any good mood soon drains from him, though, when he hears about the sad circumstances that Vanitas and Noé experienced back home. Aether is silent for a moment.]

[He sounds amused, but he knows he was trying to detach himself from it, too afraid to hurt by whatever this conversation could've brought. In the end, it all ended well and he's relieved none of his fears were real.
He moans softly at the sweet kisses against his neck, so gentle and wonderful. He's weak to them. He's weak to Vanitas.]

[He follows along easily, settling on top of his partner, one hand searching for his lover's, while the other reaches for his face. Wings drape over both of them, fingers softly trace the skin of Vanitas' cheek and Aether looks at him like he sees the entire world in his eyes.
Then he leans in for a kiss. Tender, yet more passionate than before.]

[He's teasing again, but also somewhat serious, at least where it concerns them and Vincent. The rest of his love life... he'll have to sort out himself, after they talk. At least he has some idea of where to go from here from now on.
The noises Aether makes only spurs him on more, tempting him to switch it up with the occasional gentle nip, soft and sweet like he knows Aether prefers it. He saves the rough stuff for Vincent.]

[Which is true. False happiness is worse than being miserable, he's found. Grasping Aether's hand, he lets his eyes drift over the other's expression, lingering on his lips. Thankfully he doesn't even have to ask before he's getting what he wants in the form of sweet kisses, eager yet kind, just like Aether himself.
His tail softly curls around one of the blond's legs, tapping carefully with the tip in contentment while he lets himself get lost in the sensation.]

[How can he not agree to that? There's so much they both have to sort out, actually, but Aether doesn't want to go into that topic, at least not until they have a nice long talk with Vincent.

[Their sweet kiss deepens eventually as Aether's tongue swipes over the other's lips, asking for permission. Despite the cold of his lover's body, everything feels warm now. Satisfying in some way, yet awaking the greedy part of him. His hand runs down to the other's side, settling on Vanitas' hip, massaging the spot with his thumb.
He pulls away from the kiss with a sigh, then leans to press his lips to Vanitas' forehead, then to his both cheeks.]

[It was only a few days, but he truly did.]

[He knows that for a fact. It's proven by the way Aether brazenly requests more, which Vanitas happily offers by parting his lips, welcoming him in. His own hands massage over his angel's back, stroking the base of his wings and then along their spines, caressing the feathers as he goes.
Eyelids flutter shut at the kisses to his face, opening only once Aether speaks, to be met with such lovely gold ones.]
You shouldn't have to anymore. Unless Vincent chases me out, I don't plan on going anywhere.
[Even then, he might just take Aether with him.]

Calling me a masochist when you're so sweet to me. Mean. [He chuckles.] You're forgetting that I fought gods and dragons alike. There's little that I can't handle.
[The separation from his lovers, the feeling of being rejected was one thing he found difficult to deal with. It was crushing his heart. But he doesn't have to worry about it anymore. At least not with Vanitas. The kiss they share tells him everything loud and clear. The touches to his wings even more, as a content sound resounds from him at the massage. He could stay here for hours allowing Vanitas to do whatever the other wanted with his wings.
When their eyes meet, Aether bumps his nose against the other's.]
If he chased you out, you could still stay by my side. I'm never letting you go.

Hey, I call it like I see it. [Though he hums a bit.] Where you came from must be fascinating to have both for you to stand against.
[He's glad that it seems Aether's worries have been eased. It was distressing to see him so upset, especially due to something he himself had done. Now all they have to do is make sure there's no huge falling out with Vincent. Which might be one hell of a task in and of itself, but... they should be able to manage. And if not... well. They have each other. That much Vanitas is certain of now.
Especially when Aether is being so affectionate, making him blush like mad.]

[It's true! Teyvat is an amazing place full of wanders and dangers, with gods, dragons and other beings, some of which bring trouble upon the world. It would be nice if he could one day show it to Vanitas and Vincent both.
As Vanitas jokes about the marriage, Aether looks at him with an expression that is more serious than teasing or amused. He's still smiling, though.]
If I could... I would. [He bumps their noses one more time, then presses a kiss to Vanitas' forehead.] I would happily marry you.

[Part of Vanitas would love to go world-hopping with Aether and see all the sights a fabulous place like Teyvat has to offer. It would be nice to be free from curing curse-bearers without being subjected to torture and experimentation. But he doubts any such bliss is possible in his life.
That Aether takes him seriously leaves Vanitas blushing fiercely, head ducking shyly as he shakes his head and clings harder to his lover.]
D..Don't... Don't say things like that... [Even as he screws his eyes shut tight, brow furrowed as it's kissed, his voice is soft.] Nobody deserves that fate.
